The Protector of Peace is complete, edited, and the proof is on its way to me as I type. The ebook files are ready, and the official release will be August 15, 2014.

I just finished working on season 2 of the show Graceland on the USA Network. My son starts 7th grade on Wednesday. How did he get so old?

The third and final book in Trip Montgomery’s adventures (the follow up to Gasparilla’s Treasure and The Forgotten Secret), is complete and in the editing process. The cover design is also in progress. Hopefully, I can have it ready to publish by the end of July. It is currently titled “Book 3” :-)

I’ve been busy working on Dolphin Tale 2 and Graceland Season 2, but I’ve finally put the nose to the grindstone to complete the book. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!!

I’ve been busy on Burn Notice since March, and we’re on our final month. I’ve been spending a little time after work on some nights narrating the audio book for “That Pet Finder Kid”. I’m thinking I may give it as a thank you to those who have reviewed “The Forgotten Secret”. We’ll see if I can manage to get it finished.

It’s official! The follow up to
Gasparilla’s Treasure is available and ready for purchase HERE. If you have read The Forgotten Secret and are searching for pictures and info on the locations, check out THIS BLOG POST.

Today, I had the chance to read “Corey and Daisy - The Ball” to the kindergarteners and first graders at my son’s school, Orangewood Christian School. It’s so much fun to be reminded of the whole reason I wrote the book in the first place. THE KIDS! When Corey was little I read to him every night, and decided I wanted to write the type of book I enjoyed reading to him. “Corey and Daisy - The Ball” was the result. Corey is in 5th grade now and can read circles around me, but he still allows me to read to him every night at bedtime. Kindergarten parents, I was privileged to learn a little about your pets as I laughed along with your kids. They are a great group!

I also gave a presentation to the 6th graders on “production sound” for the movie and TV business. We talked about what a sound crew does, then moved on to general movie making techniques, and finally touched on writing for movies and novels. I also showed them the book trailers for my two books
Gasparilla’s Treasure, and That Pet Finder Kid. Unfortunately a was a bit long winded and ran out of time, but I managed to release the 6th graders with three whole minutes to make it back to class!!!

If you’re a parent of an Orangewood student, thanks for stopping by HappyBrownDog, and I hope your child had a great Valentines Day :-) All three of my books are currently available on
Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com

I’ve jumped off the lazy train and have finally moved forward with the sequel to Gasparilla’s Treasure. I’m about 3/4 of the way through and super excited! I’m confident fans of Gasparilla’s Treasure are going to really enjoy it. I just have to stay motivated and get it done. My cover artist is almost finished with the cover, and it’s going to be amazing!!! I’ve pretty much settled in on the title “The Forgotten Secret”.

We had a successful release of Scott’s first picture book for the younger crowd. Scott teamed up with illustrator James Joyner to bring us “Corey and Daisy - The Ball”. Check out Scott’s reading of the book on Youtube.

You can get your copy on Amazon or Barnes and Noble today :-D

Spooky Empire was a BLAST! Had a great time and met some wonderful people (you know who you were).  I really enjoyed sitting on the young adult panel discussion with R.L. Stine, Heather Brewer, and Kevin Ranson.  They were so much fun!
